Whilst working with guest lecturer, the hybrid designer Daniel de Bruin, we were challenged to design and build something BIG, something involving a mechamism, and something that drew from and adapted our best childhood memories.
One of my most promenant childhood memories is of making an dplaying in ‘sofa forts’, as well as always dreaming of secret trap doors and tunnels.
In just one week, I designed and built this entire structure by hand. A pop up den, my ‘childish dream’. This pop up den is the blown up version of my childhood dreams and memories.
